Sisters

I read in a book that twins "discover" each other around 9 months old. That it's like they suddenly realize there is another person there. Not that they haven't beat each other up, slobbered on each other, etc prior to that, but that they start talking to each other.

Our twins have dropped their evening nap. Up until a few weeks ago they slept for 2 naps during the day and another at about 5:30-6:30. It worked perfectly with our dinner time. :)
Well, the time came that they needed to drop the evening nap. Most nights they play in the play yard while we eat, but when they are especially fussy we put them in their cribs to "play" while we eat.

Last week we were doing all this and a couple of things happened.

1. Jemma pulled up in her crib for the first time. She's pulled up in the play yard before, but this was the first time in her crib.

2. They "found" each other.

Take a look:

Jemma showing off in her crib :)

I can't remember if I've ever shared these signs before. My good friend, Kendra the art teacher at our school made these for the girls. She matched the flower shapes and colors to their sheets. So sweet!

A funny little thing - We had to switch the girls from one crib to the other when they first moved to the cribs. Jaycie wouldn't sleep in her original crib! :) Stinker. She sleeps like a champ in the other crib.

Please ignore the mess! Here they are talking to each other. I wish  I had video. It was so cute. See Jemma laughing and Jaycie is making her Jaycie face!

Big Sis was wanting to be included :) She's such an awesome big sister!

We moved the littles to one crib for a few minutes (before they could beat the tar out of each other). They enjoyed it for a few!
