InstaFriday

A lot of blogs I follow do insta-friday where they share their favorite instagram pictures from the week. I haven't been brave enough to link to any of their insta-parties, but I do have some cute pictures to share. :)

Jadyn had a sick day this past week. She ended up feeling fine, but not until after she put on her crown and jewelry.

I try to get pictures of each of the girls with us. This is Jaycie.

We had playtime outside one evening. Jadyn drove her car around and the littles watched. Mommy supervised and drank iced tea...

Daddy volunteered to run to Walmart and take the crazy baby with him. Jaycie was having a rough afternoon. They are so cute and she did so well!
I need to make sure to get more pictures of Jemma! She must have actually been sleeping this time. :)

Now Jadyn's sick!

I suppose this is just how life will be for the next 18 years or so... we just pass sickness back and forth! This is different sickness though, so I'm not sure it really counts!

My sweet Jadyn is sick. She hasn't felt well since last Friday, but never really had consistent symptoms. Last night though she finally puked. That meant she couldn't go to school today and unfortunately it was a babysitter day not a Gramma day. I would have left Jadyn with Gramma and the twins for the day but since I wasn't sure how she would feel I didn't think it would be fair to leave a "continuing to be sick" child with the babysitter/nanny!

I stayed home today with all my girls. Even though Jadyn feels better she is still not herself.

**I have a picture to upload but I can't get it to work when I do I will**

Nothing sadder than

a sick little baby!

My sweet Jemma is sick. Poor baby! I'm convinced it's allergies although those in the medical world tell me it's not possible (supposedly kids don't have allergies until they are 2 - it's hogwash I say). She's majorly congested but hasn't had a fever. She gets worse if we go outside. She has a clear runny nose... hmmmm.... sounds like allergies to me! Nevertheless, I cannot give her any medicine so she's miserable. We are doing everything we can to keep her comfortable: sleeping elevated, sucking out nose, lots of snuggle time but she just looks miserable!

Love my baby and can't wait for her to feel better!

She loves to sit between my legs and lay back on me. It's so sweet!

Guess which one is Jemma? That's right the totally sad looking one in the middle! Poor baby!

Changes!

Big things are happening in the Franz household. First of all, Jaycie is our little rolling machine. She rolls whenever she can! She's sleeping on her tummy now because she flips as soon as she can! Jemma is close to getting over but hasn't thrown that leg just yet. Jaycie is doing really well and is measuring in her development ahead of schedule.

The babies got the okay to start solid foods. I held them off because I didn't feel like they were ready. Last Sunday we tried, and I was right. We need a bit more time. :) Jemma actually did pretty well with it, but Jaycie wasn't interested at all! We were told to wait a week if they didn't seem to interested at first so we will try again on Sunday. Someone else also recommended that we skip the rice cereal and try veggies instead. I'm not sure what we will do, but we will try again soon. Here are some pictures from our first attempt.

Our pre-eating pose. Waiting patiently :)

"Yummy yummy - I love my food!"

"Um... I'm not so sure about this..."

Big sissy wanted to help! She did an awesome job! Oh and Greg had a major headache :)

Our other big event this week is that we all went back to school! Jadyn and I started on Monday and Greg started Wednesday. Even though Jadyn attended preschool last year this is technically her first year of preschool. She's doing really well!

A few instagram photos

Greg got me an ipod for my birthday this past year. My birthday is March 2. We got it because we thought it might be nice to have for late night feedings when our babies came in April. HAHAHA. Little did we know the babies would be coming 11 days later. I am so GRATEFUL for that ipod. It has been an absolute lifesaver. Even though the majority of my photos of the babies are grainy and have terrible lighting issues - I still have them. Those NICU days would have been pictureless without the ipod. Now, I have it all the time. It's so small I can keep it in my pocket and try to capture the girls thoughout the day. I've tried to be better about flipping on lights to get good shoots but I still have issues.

Instagram in an ap for the ipod that allows you to "edit" the photos from your phone. I have fun playing around with it. I also have an instagram account where I get to share pictures with friends and see my friends pictures. Here are a few of my recent instagram pictures. :)

Jaycie is on the left and Jemma on the right. I got big smiles from each of the girls....just not in the same picture. I sent this picture to my Mom and she said they look like quads!! YIKES!
Greg and his baby girls. No, Greg is not going bald - it's the way I took the picture. The girls are wearing Jadyn's old jammies. So stinking cute. Jaycie is in the ladybugs and Jemma is in the monkeys. We took this right before bedtime so the girls had full tummies are were sleepy!

Jadyn and I got new haircuts on Tuesday. I got shorter bangs and Jadyn got about an inch cut off her hair. It was Jadyn's first haircut!
She's a superstar. Did awesome getting her haircut!
My girls! Jaycie is the one wiggling off Jadyn's lap. She rolls over now you know, so she is NEVER still.
My little Jemma bean. Desperate to roll over. Here she is early Sunday morning. We got to hang out a bit before everyone else was up! I can't wait to see how this little girl turns out.
