April Showers

The Franzy bunch has a had a very fast very sick April.
The girls are still struggling with colds. The weather swings are not helping.
Allergy season is not helping.
But, at least for the most part they are happy!
School is getting nuts-o for Mommy and Daddy so the camera hasn't been out much.
Here are a few phone pictures

The little girls have been babbling Dada and Mama for awhile off and on, but Saturday morning when I walked in their room to get them up, Jaycie hopped up and sweetly said, "Mama! Mama Mama!" I nearly died. It was so sweet.

Any Dirty Dancing fans out there? "Nobody puts Baby in a corner." That's all I can think of when I see this! Jemma actually was playing with Jadyn and crawled over and posed like this. A little WWE if you ask me!
:
The girls are not strong enough yet to pop open the buttons, but they try! Jemma especially enjoys this toy. She tries to use it as a walker too.
I attended the JH concert at school and took Jaycie as my date. She looked SO CUTE I had to snap a picture. She did really well.
Jemma woke up early from her nap and actually wanted to snuggle. I couldn't resist snapping a picture since this girl is often on the move!
Jaycie had her turn in the corner too. She was also playing with Jadyn and crawled over to the corner to rest.
Jaycie was watching the rain. Sweet little profile!
Jadyn and I try to snuggle every day when we get home from school. One day last week she fell asleep on me. It's been awhile since she fell asleep while snuggling so I tried to soak up every single thing about it!
Jemma LOVES to make this face.
Jadyn and her Daddy. Daddy got some snuggles this particular morning. I was jealous but took a picture anyway. :)
Jadyn had graham crackers with icing. She got it everywhere. In her hair all over her face - everywhere! Love this girl and her blue eyes!
Jemma and her fishy face. When Jemma isn't making the face above - she is making this face. She is so funny!

So there you have it. April Showers bring May flowers, right? I'm just hoping for constant weather. I'm not going to get it this week though - maybe next?

Easter

Well....
I took 100+ pictures at Easter and:
1. Didn't get one of my family,
2. Didn't get one of girls
3. Didn't get one of all the kiddos
4. Didn't get any good ones of the Easter egg hunt.

But I did get these.

I think this is a perfect picture capturing Jadyn's personality - Frilly dress on the 4 wheeler! :)

Easter happened and Jemma (on the L) was benefiting from the medicine, but Jaycie was still hurting - poor baby!

Here they are about 30 minutes later. Nap time, anyone?

Oh Alex, he loves to run! I love this boy!

Kyle and Alex!

Jadyn and Carter ride EVERYWHERE in this car.

Papa gave the kids bowls to put their found eggs in. The kiddos put the bowls on their heads - and Kyle never misses a good time!

So, maybe next time I will do better at getting traditional pictures - in the mean time know that we had a blast on Easter Sunday!

The Franz Family Plague - the aftermath

Things are getting back to normal around here. I hate to say that because I'm sure it will jinx me. It also makes me chuckle because I say things are getting back to normal around here as allergy season gears up for a full blast attack. Anyhoo, thanks for the prayers.

You didn't think you were getting rid of me that easily did you? I need to share something else.

Something exciting happened while the babies were sick.
I finally bonded with Jaycie.

You see, the NICU takes away important bonding time with your baby. I missed the first 18 days of their lives - snuggling, cuddling, swinging, singing, talking with, and just being Mom. Then to add insult to injury the babies came home on monitors which added an additional issue when it came to all of those things. So, it really wasn't until the end of April that we were able to do whatever we wanted to do with our babies. By that time the pattern had already been set.

Please know, I love and have loved Jaycie since she came home. I hold her, cuddle with her, and all of those things since the beginning but I bonded with Jemma. That doesn't mean I liked her better - it just means she reached for me more than Jaycie and other things like that.

But when Jaycie got sick this past week everything changed. Jaycie only wants Mama. She laughs when she sees me, she throws herself out of people's arms so that she can get to me.

It is awesome.
I didn't even know how much I missed it until it happened.

Jemma has been doing this for quite sometime and really I didn't notice too much with Jaycie. I just figured she wasn't as much of a cuddler. Actually, I just thought it would come later. Jadyn is much much more of a snuggle buddy (on her own will) now then she was when she was littler - she always wanted to go-go-go. Jaycie is the same way. She is always on the move.

Now, it's to get to me first.
**insert ginormous grin**

So even in the midst of the horrible Franz Family Plague, God did something big. He helped me - a whole year later - have that bonding time with my Jaycie.
And now, I am thankful for the double ear infections and the diarrhea.

I am truly thankful the the blessings God has given me in my 3 girls. They are absolutely delightful. I am one lucky Mama!
